Absolutely. Stage hypnosis is a performance art that has been practiced professionally for over a century. Every fair and festival show is clean and family-friendly, participation is always voluntary, and no one is ever made to feel uncomfortable.
What if people don’t want to participate?
Watching is half the fun. No one is ever pressured to volunteer, and every show opens with a quick, funny introduction that puts volunteers at ease. The laughter from the stage draws people in from across the grounds.
How long is the show?
Most fair and festival shows run 60 to 75 minutes, and our artists can perform multiple shows across the day. Tell us your set times and we’ll build the schedule around them.
What does the performer need from us?
A grandstand, main stage or on-grounds tent, a microphone and sound system, chairs for volunteers, and good lighting for evening shows. Your performer will go over all the specifics with you after booking so there are no surprises on show day.
How far in advance should we book?
Many fair boards and festival committees book 4 to 6 months in advance to secure their dates. If you have dates or a favorite performer in mind, reach out sooner rather than later.
Are your performers insured?
Yes — every performer on the Wand Enterprises roster carries full insurance. That’s non-negotiable for us. Your fair board and festival committee are fully protected, and you’ll never have to chase us for paperwork.
How many volunteers are needed on stage?
Most of our performers request 30 chairs on stage — a golden rule established by our founder Jim Wand and carried on by the performers he trained. We’ve filled stages with 80 volunteers for audiences of over 5,000. Your performer will plan the stage setup with you before the event.
What types of shows do you offer for fairs and festivals?
Stage hypnosis is a grandstand favorite, and our roster also includes magicians, ventriloquists, mentalists, comedians, and tribute and music acts, plus walk-around performers who keep the midway engaged between sets. One call books your whole lineup.
