Dr. Al Snyder, a veterinarian with a very diverse background in working with people and animals, puts on a performance that combines humor and motivation into an action packed session. His sincerity and enthusiasm combined with his ability to relate to any age group make his shows a hit with any audience. He often calls upon his experience as a veterinarian to add spice to his programs. Hypnosis shows have been around for decades. Dr. Snyder brings new life into an old profession. His fifteen years working with youth, non-profit and professional organizations provide an unending resource pool for stories and antics. Dr. Snyder was the founder of the Wyoming State FFA Leadership Camp in 1978. He has continued to direct the camp for the past 15 years and has had the opportunity to individually work with, motivate, and inspire over 2000 young people through this extensive leadership-training program. The major focus of the camp and the primary aim of any youth program he works with is to foster stronger self-esteem, more self confidence, and encourage young people to resist the temptations of negative peer-pressure. In 1990 and 1991 he was selected to provide the leadership training programs for the new state officers of Wyoming Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), and Future Homemakers of America (FHA/HERO). He has spoken at over 100 banquets and conventions and holds honorary memberships in many organizations. He has been awarded the coveted Honorary American FFA degree, Honorary State FFA degree, and holds many honorary chapter degrees for the work he has done in this great youth organization. In leadership and training workshops, he helps people understand the close connection between one’s attitude and one’s ability to achieve. Through a close involvement with handicapped individuals, he understands first-hand that all people can accomplish more than they ever dreamed possible. Creativity is an important key to his success. After attending the University of Wyoming and majoring in vocational agricultural education he went on to Colorado State University where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He practiced veterinary medicine in mixed animal practices in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Montana and later went into computer sales and practice management consultations throughout the Midwest. He was named general manager of Advanced Veterinary Systems Software Company in January 1991.
